Jesus Revolution Now! started with a desperation
for change that has been fueled by the continued
disintegration of the foundations of our nation,
The Philippines.
The continued pain and cry Christians feel regarding our
nation’s condition plus the sense of helplessness
demanded that it is time for desperate measures.
Why NOW? Why is the word NOW included in the name?
NOW serves as an emphasis on the urgency and the need to act
today. It speaks of what can only be done today and not what
anyone promises to do in the future. It shouts loudly at
complacency and apathy. It screams at cynicism which many
times had led to losing by default. It represents the cry of a
generation always engaged in the NOW, which speaks of r
elevance and effectiveness. NOW confronts passivity and
theoretical Christianity as opposed to Radical Obedience and
Activism. A Revolution of real, effective, applied Christianity:
Jesus Revolution NOW!
When Jesus Revolution Now! Sounded the call
to the Body of Christ to gather for a solemn assembly in Luneta,
on November 30,2001 to fast and pray for the nation,
an estimated 150,000 people responded
not just from Metro Manila and nearby provinces,
but as far as the Visayas and Mindanao.
And surprisingly, people from other nations,
such as, Korea, Japan, Germany and the US
joined to witness what God is doing to the Philippines
